Cashflow 101 Game
Monday, April 21st, 2008
Last Sunday, five of us from the Nubian Ski group played the Cashflow 101 Game. What is a Cashflow 101 game I hear you ask? Well it’s more of a financial educational experience than a game. It enables you to look at your own attitude to finance and allows you to plan & exact a strategy to leave the rat race and find your own financial freedom.
I came to know about the game after reading the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. In a nutshell, the story contrasts the financial journey of Robert Kiyosaki, his rich Dad (his friend’s father and his financial mentor) and his poor Dad, his own paternal father, who was academically well educated but not financially astute.
I decided that I too wanted to learn how to recognise what a good business deal looked like, where I could buy stocks, shares, property, businesses … all without using any of my own money!
At Nubian Ski we play the game on the third Sunday of every month and it’s open to everyone. They do say practice makes perfect and three out of five of us left the rat race and got onto the Cashflow 101 fast track (and are doing so in real life). But unlike the game, we don’t do it 3 hours time limit, but step-by-step.
If you’ve already left the rat race in real life, then maybe you’d like to join the team to teach us something new. If, like many of us, you too would like to experience the Cashflow 101 game, then email Yvonne at: info@nubianski.com and just confirm that you’d like to meet & play the game. The next time we meet is on Sunday 18th May 2008.
One of our objectives is to buy a number of games and play the game with Nubian Ski club members and friends wherever they are in the country. The game costs upwards of £150 so we charge £5 a time per person to play it and raise some capital towards purchasing a new game.
What’s quite interesting is that I got so caught up in playing the game and wanting to be the first to leave the rat race, that I actually forgot to collect the money … hhhmm … now you can see why I need to play the game! … And it’s just as well I don’t collect the money for Nubian Ski holidays isn’t it!!

Aren’t you happy that Spring is here? I know I am because it means I can start getting ready for Nubian Ski’s 2009 launch party. The party takes place on Saturday 17th May, and it’s no secret that we’ll be joining the National Brotherhood of Skiers in the luxurious resort of Snowmass in Aspen, Colorado, USA.
